Construction for Firstdraft show

The very long and emotionally draining process of building the corner wall! All made possible through my partner Chris Ross' help, expertise and studio!  The photographs were taken during just a few stages of prep including gauging what height the shelves should be, painting the walls and putting the skirting on at Firstdraft Gallery.

The show ends Saturday 11th of May with an artist talk, some drinks and some nibbles at 2pm

The gallery is open 12-6pm on Wednesday till Saturday the 11th

Exhibition Tonight! 'Tell us the story' at Sheffer Gallery

Late notice but I'm in an exhibition at Sheffer Gallery, opening tonight!

Wednesday the 15th of August from 6 -8pm.

Come if you'd like to be awed by some lovely work and get a little tipsy with great company.  

The exhibition was curated by Yiwon Park, and the twelve artists she's gathered touch on the idea of visual narrative through different vocabularies.  The lineup includes Leehaiminsun a Korean artist who is currently a studio artist at the Artspace Residency Program.  Artists undergoing a Masters of Research degree such as Melanie Beresford.  And myself!  The exhibition runs on till the 25th of August.  Sheffer Gallery is located on 38 Lander Street, Darlington, incredibly close to Redfern.

Exhibition Notes from 2010-11

Unfortunately I haven't been to as many exhibitions as I'd like this year.  Even when I am out looking at shows I don't have the time to make detailed notes or any drawings at the moment.  But here are a few 'exhibition notes' from earlier on in the year and the end of last year.  Mostly of when I went down to Melbourne to visit some friends.
